Father’s Day Classic Campout 2012 at the San Diego Zoo, Fathers and their little tykes (ages four and older) will enjoy the thrill of camping without the hassle of hauling gear and provisions to the woods.
The adventure begins as soon as you check in, with an activity and a chance to meet some of our animal ambassadors up close, followed by a show about bugs, hosted by Dr. Zoolittle.
After arriving at the Zoo’s Camp Timbuktu, you and your child can settle down in your tent (provided). A yummy camp buffet dinner will be served, followed by activities and games (how about a little father-and-child competition?). Children will have an opportunity to make their special dad a Father’s Day gift.
After a night hike to see what our animals are up to when the sun goes down, you’ll return to camp for more fun entertainment and make s’mores at the campfire.
Wake to a delicious hot breakfast and enjoy an exclusive visit to one of our animal exhibits before heading home with lots of happy memories.
