At the Summer Salon Series, Pierre Bismuth will give an Artist talk and present Flashback, his work featuring a parked car, with locked doors, with no one inside. The car radio is playing so loud that it is still audible, and passersby can hear the last few hours of coverage of the 2008 presidential election results.
A screening of 2011 Sundance Film 'The Black Power Mixtape', will examine the evolution of the Black Power Movement in the African American community and Diaspora from 1967-1975 through archive and music driven documentary.
Create a fine-art work inspired by those on view in The Studio, sip a cocktail in the Rotunda and view Tim Schwarts Gauges throughout the night.
