The Living Coast Discovery Center will host a public event on Monday, June 25 from 7-8:30pm, with the man credited with discovering the “continent” of plastic debris known as the “Great Pacific Garbage Patch” in the 1990s.
Captain Charles Moore will discuss his highly acclaimed book, "Plastic Ocean: How a Sea Captain’s Chance Discovery Launched a Determined Quest to Save the Ocean," followed by a question-and-answer session and book-signings.
