"The Secret Message" is a translation of an ancient Persian poem about a parrot who finds his freedom. It has been chosen as the children’s companion book to "Sky of Red Poppies," a 2012 One Book, One San Diego selection. The author will present an engaging, kid-friendly reading and talk about the book, and be available for signings afterward.
We'll have PBS Kids giveaways as well a San Diego Zoo parrot expert and the chance to meet a real parrot!
Limited space available. Light refreshments provided and copies of the book will be available for sale on-site by the Yellow Book Road.
Please note, in case of inclement weather:
This event will take place rain or shine! By purchasing tickets to the event, you are forfeiting your claim to a reimbursement due to inclement weather.
