Now in its sixth year at MOPA, the San Diego Italian Film Festival has grown into an amazing conduit to enjoy Italian culture. From October 26th through November 11th, the festival features 17 spectacular movies that evoke laughter, tears, and passion.
"Piano, solo" follows Flores, one of the brightest musical talents to emerge in Italy in the past few decades, from his boyhood in Africa to his years playing with such greats such as Chet Baker & Dave Holland. But sadly, as he develops his prodigious, spellbinding musical talent at music school in Florce and discovers jazz, his loved ones watch helplessly as he retreats further and further into his personal darkness. "Piano, Solo" was made in 2007 by Riccardo Milani and will run for 104 minutes.
