Dr. Ariel Plotek, Assistant Curator, will discuss Charles Reiffel: An American Post-Impressionist and shed light on this splendid page in the history of American Post-Impressionism.
Usually considered a leader of the California plein-air school of painting, Charles Reiffel is reevaluated as a leading practitioner of Post-Impressionism in the United States in this exhibition of over 60 works at the Museum and at the San Diego History Center.
The lecture will be followed by a collaborative opening and reception at both the Museum and the San Diego History Center.
