Jack Stricker’s rhyme of lines and color create multi-layered environments that leave the viewer slightly detached from reality in his show titled “Quality Control” which opens at Thumbprint Gallery in La Jolla on November 10. Using a variety of mediums, there is a sense of the uncanny and absurd in his expression.
This exhibition is on display at Thumbprint Gallery November 10th through December 2nd, 2012.
Opening Reception: Saturday, November 10th from 5-10pm
According to the artist the focus is “not necessarily on what is painted or drawn but the act of creating itself”. His works are raw and spontaneous while remaining cohesive and refined. The balance creates a striking effect.
