The Arab Film Festival premier in San Diego will be on November 16 & 17, 2012 in the Museum of Photographic Arts located in Balboa Park.
Opening night features "Where Do We Go Now" (Lebanon) by Toronto Film Festival Audience Award winning director Nadine Labaki. Following an inaugural reception, the director Zaid Abu Hamdan of the short "Bahiya & Mahmoud" will engage in a Q&A.
Day two will include: "The War Around Us" (USA/Palestine). Director Abdallah Omeish will be joining us for a discussion around the making of this film, which won Best Documentary at the Newport Beach Film Festival 2012.
Refreshments and a small reception will take place between showings. The Festival will conclude with several shorts from the region and the final feature will be "Masquerades" (Algeria), winner of Best Film from the Dubai international film festival, 2008.
