Featured Veteran: Steve Pierce is a United States Marine who developed ischemic heart disease after exposure to the herbicide commonly known as Agent Orange during the Vietnam War. With the help of the Veterans Medical Assistance Foundation (VMAF), Steve was able to receive a vital stem cell procedure which resulted in a healthier heart, and a happier life. Help us celebrate his health improvements, and learn how VMAF changed his life and how it is can change the lives of other veterans.
The mission of VMAF is to financially assist US veterans suffering from service related, long-term health complications who wish to pursue medical treatments that fall outside standard-of-care medicine not covered by the Veterans Administration or private insurance.
