On Monday, October 29th Superstorm Sandy slammed into the Eastern seaboard. Large swaths of New York and New Jersey were left underwater and millions of people were plunged into darkness without power. The number of people affected and dollars spent in rebuilding is yet to be calculated.
La Jolla Presbyterian Church has identified a ‘sister church’ in need. Nancy Rizkalla, Missions Pastor at New Providence Presbyterian Church in New Providence, New Jersey, says the devastation is worse than some difficult times she experienced in Third World countries where she’s lived.
On Sunday November 18th please join La Jolla Presbyterian Church for a very special benefit concert to support our neighbors across the country who have lost so much.
The "You’ll Never Walk Alone" concert will feature The LJPC Quartet and friends, the La Jolla Brass, directed by John Lorge, and organist William J. Lullo. All artists are donating their time and talents to this worthy cause. All proceeds from your tax-deductible donation will be contributed to the disaster relief fund of a Presbyterian church in the affected area of the east coast. Bring a friend and your checkbook.
