When the nut cracks the magic begins with snowflake-throwing ballerinas, Serbian dancing baklava, jazzy candy canes, hip-hopping gumdrops and other sweets. Betzi Roe, Artistic Director, and her Coronado School of the Arts (CoSA) Dance Company will be showcasing a most unusual take on the Tchaikovsky holiday favorite "The NutCracker" (think Gangnam style meets ballet) for three public performances: November 30th at 7 p.m., December 1st at 7 p.m. and December 2nd at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $6-$14 (age range), 15% off for groups larger than six. For more information visit http://www.cosafoundation.org/ or (619) 522-4050.
The Cracked Nut will take place in the state-of-the-art Coronado High School Performing Arts Center, 650 D Avenue in Coronado. (Google Maps)
