Join us on October 9th, 2012 starting at 7pm for the Art of Élan "Transfiguration" at the San Diego Museum of Art.
Art of Élan's season premiere concert features Teri Riley's improvisational string quartet's piece "Sunrise of the Planetary Dream Collector." Taking inspiration from the collecting and redistributing of dreams as well as Schoenberg's sublime work "Verklarte Nacht," this piece tells the ultimate tale of unconditional love and speaks to both the creativity and compassion of the human spirit.
"In Your Dreams," the 6th Season of Art of Élan, explores the unpredictable, terrifying, sensuous, and whimsical world of the subconscious. Four one-hour concerts examine diverse topics and range in musical style from the traditional and contemporary sounds of India to Tan Dun's haunting Ghost Opera and David Bruce's spirited work Steampunk.
Season tickets are available prior to the season premiere concert: $60 members/$75 nonmembers. To purchase online, add all 4 concerts to your shopping cart. The series discount will appear at checkout.
