SDSU's Safe Zones Presents 'Coming Out In Religious Communities'

On October 11th, 2012, Safe Zones at SDSU presents "Coming Out in Religious Communities" or National Coming Out Day.
The event will include a panel discussion with LGBT Student Union President Michael Manacop from Mission Gathering Church in San Diego, Prof. Joanna Brooks, Chair of English Department and author of The Book of Mormon Girl, Rev. Dr. Beth Cooper, United Methodist Campus Minister, Wesley Foundation, SDSU alumna Ashley Boyd from the Hillcrest Unitarian Universalist Church, and special guests, Ken St. Pierre from the Buddhist Dharma Bums Temple in San Diego, and Dr. Joel Kushner, Director, Institute for Judaism, Sexual Orientation, and Gender Identity at Hebrew Union College and editor of Kulanu: A Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Inclusion Guide for Congregations.
