Spend your Balboa park family day relaxing in the garden and enjoy a variety of interactive activities fun for the whole family!

*NEW! - A portion of the Garden’s 9-acre expansion will be open to the public! Food and drinks purchased in the Garden are welcome! ($2 additional admission for ages 13+)
--> Children 13+ must purchase a $1 Activity Bracelet to participate in the crafts in addition to the $3 admission price. Bracelets can be purchased inside the Garden.
Schedule of Activities:
11:00am - Family Day begins! Don’t forget to pick up your Scavenger Hunt brochures at the front gate!
11:10am - 2:30pm - Master karate demonstrations
11:30am – Japanese storytelling: “Momotaro, The Peach Boy” (Wisteria Arbor facing office)
12:30pm – Japanese storytelling: “The Monkey and the Crab” (Wisteria Arbor facing office)
1:00pm – Japanese Miyazaki animation movie: “Kiki’s Delivery Service” starts! (Activity Room)
1:30pm – Japanese storytelling: “How The Years Were Named” (Wisteria Arbor facing office)
3:00pm – Family Day ends –last call to pick up your okonomiyaki and manjyu!
