Exploring Ethics: 'Elephants Or People? Ethical Dilemmas In Recovering Endangered Species'

Exploring Ethics celebrates the 50th anniversary of the publication of Rachel Carson's landmark book, “Silent Spring.” The subject will be “Elephants or People? Ethical Dilemmas in Recovering Endangered Species;” the speaker is Robert Weise, Chief Life Science Officer, San Diego Zoo.

In conjunction with the Center for Ethics in Science and Technology, the Fleet welcomes guests to encounter science from an ethical viewpoint; brings together community leaders of various backgrounds to examine current scientific issues from diverse perspectives; and invites the public to explore with them how science can best serve society.

Scheduled for select Wednesdays through June 5, 2013.

This month is jointly sponsored by California State University San Marcos, Grossmont College, and Point Loma Nazarene University.
