From your own collection of special things, create a human or animal totem that has special meaning for you. Bring sentimental or damaged earrings, necklaces, charms, rings and pins to recycle and apply to a balsa wood form. If you have buttons, beads and small pieces of glass or tile, bring them, too. Old watches and computer parts will work!

Please bring a sharp pair of scissors, a small curved nail scissors and tacky glue.

Balsa wood for the base and limbs, interesting fabric, hand dyed silks, colored leather, beautiful papers and an amazing collection of jewelry and found objects as well as hot glue, felt and wire will be provided for you. This is a fun and easy class!

Each totem is approximately 10 inches tall. No art experience is necessary.

Instructor Ruth Dorn
