California Ballet Company presents past and future choreographers!
Nearly 50 choreographers have contributed over 150 works to the California Ballet repertoire in its 45 year history. Beyond the Barre 2013 will include a retrospective honoring these, while still offering a palate of new works currently being developed.

The following choreographers will be represented with excerpts performed by current California Ballet Company dancers:
-Maxine Mahon - Coppelia (Swanhilda and Friends)
-Charles Bennett - Opus 55 (Rachmaninoff, not seen since the late 1980's)
-Paul Koverman – Clowns
-Wayne Davis- Spanish Serenade
-Betzi Roe – Dry Roses
Hugo Carreon, California Ballet Soloist, will be premiering The Sorcerer's Apprentice, a symphonic poem by Paul Dukas. The work depicts the story of a young apprentice who attempts to use magic with unfortunate and disastrous effects.
