A workshop for core strength, arm balances and flying techniques.
Ever wonder how some yogis float through their practice effortlessly? The key is abdominal strength, leverage, breath control and concentration. Join Carolina Vivas for two hours that will kick-start your new year with more power!
Explore the mechanics of arm balancing postures and learn various ways to approach, practice and master them. Not only are these demanding poses fun and exhilarating, but they also teach us self-trust and fearlessness. Now is the time to take your practice to the next level by trying new things and letting go of the fear that holds you back. Bringing awareness to your breath will help keep you calm and present.
Abdominal exercises are weaved into this workshop in order to find the key element for fluidness. When the core is engaged, we have more control over the physical body and our center of gravity stabilizes. There are four levels of muscles that make up our abdominal region and we will be sure to target all of them!
By applying core strength, breath control and the techniques from arm balancing postures, we will explore "floating" from downward dog to your hands in sun salutes, as well as jumping back from several poses to vinyasas.
