On Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 11:00am to 5:00pm San Diegans will gather along the Martin Luther King Jr. Promenade for the 15th Annual San Diego Sheila Hardin Multi-Cultural Festival.
The Multi-Cultural Festival showcases San Diego’s rich cultural diversity and traditional heritage through live music, dance performances, storytelling, children’s activities and a wide range of food and retail vendors.
The entertainment lineup for the Festival features an eclectic mix of performers all highlighting the city’s rich cultural diversity. The performers slated to appear for this free, family-friendly event include Native American, Middle Eastern, African Drum and Dance, Latin and Cuban Rhythms, Jazz and Funk Ensemble on the Main Stage.
The performances on the Children’s Stage will include storytelling, Kids for Peace – Anti-Bullying Peace Pledge, Skits, Steppers, Children’s Drum and Song Workshop, Native American Pow-Wow along with a host of other exciting children’s activities.
The San Diego Multicultural Festival is made possible through community support and sponsorships to include SDG&E, the City of San Diego, World Beat Cultural Center, Pazazz and media partner Walrus 105.7 FM radio station. Everyone is invited to come out and celebrate San Diego’s Rich Diverse Cultures.
