On Monday, January 21st, join a growing group of faith communities in interfaith community service in Balboa Park, part of the National Day of Service in memory of Martin Luther King, Jr.
In its fifth year, all are invited to help beautify a local treasure, Balboa Park, during a morning of hands-on community service. Meeting at 9 am near Morley Field at Texas and Upas Streets, the group will work outdoors clearing and hauling brush, mulching and planting. You are also invited to bring-your-own picnic on the lawn.
