Each September and January, the Museum welcomes new trainees into the two-year Docent Training Program. This program involves classes every Monday and Wednesday afternoon, September through May, and field trips to view related regional exhibitions.
Courses focus on works from the Museum's Permanent Collection, and cover a broad range of Art History, featuring lectures by Docents, Museum staff, curators, and local scholars. The docent training program emphasizes strategies and techniques for leading tours for adults, children, and individuals with special needs.
Contact Ruth Broudy for more information on how to become a docent.
