Work on the Wild Side
So you wanna be a keeper? A veterinarian? An exotic animal trainer? Try those careers (and more) on for size during a week working on the wild side. Explore the Safari Park in depth, meeting and shadowing professionals in all areas of animal care and conservation. You’ll find out what it’s really like to be a veterinarian with a trip to our state-of-the-art animal hospital and veterinarian meet-and-greet. You’ll get to try your hand at zookeeping during one-on-one zookeeper shadows. You’ll even see firsthand what it takes to train animals, from birds to cheetahs, when you get to shadow one of our animal trainers.
Hop on board a Caravan Safari truck for an opportunity to feed giraffes and rhinos and to see if field research is your thing. You’ll explore off-exhibit, behind-the-scenes animal areas to meet exotic animals up close and have some amazing feeding opportunities plus meet animal ambassadors up close in private animal encounters. There’s no place like the Safari Park and no summer camp like this one. Join the team and see if a wildlife career might be right for you!
