The LightBridge Hospice Community Foundation, a non-profit organization that fulfills special requests for hospice patients and their loved ones, will host a celebration of inspirational people on Friday, June 21, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.. The award presentation and inspirational candle lighting ceremony will take place at 8:00 p.m.
The “Light of LightBridge” at Old Poway Park will allow individuals to recognize those who are or were a light in their life while raising money for the organization’s programs.
As part of the evening festivities, Emmet W. Lee, MD, FAAHPM, will be honored with the foundation’s inaugural “Light of LightBridge” award.
Cost: $25 registration fee, children under 12 are free, includes hor d’oeuvres, refreshments and musical entertainment. Commemorative candles will be available for purchase that evening.
Other event activities and visual elements include:
- Demonstrations of specialty hospice programs such as aromatherapy, pet, music and art therapy.
- Silent auction featuring art from San Diego resident Erik Skoldberg.
- Musical entertainment from City Jazz San Diego.
