Cinema Select: Tell Us What to Play - This monthly series, beginning in March 2013, lets you decide our Theater “queue.” Every month, we will post three films on our web site and allow you to vote on which one we show. The film with the most votes will play for one night inside MOPA’s theater.

We will announce the theme and three films each month on our Facebook page and open up voting for two weeks.

In celebration of our newest exhibition, "Jessica Lange: unseen," MOPA will screen Lange’s movie "Grey Gardens" (2009).

About The Film:
This film follows the eccentric lives of the paternal aunt and first cousin of Jackie Kennedy, “Big Edie” and “Little Edie.” Once New York City socialites, the two women became reclusive companions in their New Jersey vacation estate, which has been taken over by stray animals and trash. Jessica Lange received an Emmy for her portrayal as “Big Edie.”

Film Admission: $4 MOPA members, $6 Students & Seniors, $8 General Admission.

Location: MOPA is located in beautiful Balboa Park in the Casa de Balboa building at 1649 El Prado San Diego, CA 92101. Google Map
