The Media Arts Center San Diego’s Latino Film Festival is making its 20th anniversary a birthday to remember. Relive or see for the first time our list of the top 10 groundbreaking and influential Latino films of the past two decades.
Latino Cinema has become a force to be reckoned with, introducing audiences from around the world to a new generation of dynamic and universal stories. These films, from regions as diverse as Mexico, Chile, Spain and Brazil, managed to crossover from the arthouse to the mainstream. The 20th anniversary showcase is funded by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.
