The SDSU Science Sampler will take place in various buildings within the College of Sciences on the SDSU campus on Friday, March 22, 2013 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m., (Rain or Shine).

As part of the events leading up to this year's Explore SDSU, Aztecs of all ages and the community are invited to get a first-hand look of how research is conducted in San Diego State University’s College of Sciences.

*Donald P. Shiley BioScience Center Research: "Fixing a Broken Heart" - View displays of heart circulation, cardiac anatomy and actual data recordings of a heart attack. Located at the Alan & Debbie Gold Auditorium (first floor) - DPS BioScience Center.

*Super-Cool Ice Cream: The Cool World of Cryogenics - Liquid nitrogen instant ice cream and more. Located in PA-215.

*Planetarium Shows: Enjoy a tour of the starry night sky in our planetarium. Located in PA-209.

*Show-Me Geology: Learn about the importance of rocks and minerals in everyday life. Located in ITS Front.

*See Inside the Human Brain: See how magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can be used to image the human brain. Located in CSL-422.

*Supersonic Ping-Pong Balls: The power of air pressure will be demonstrated as Ping-Pong balls are launched to supersonic speeds at empty soda cans. Located in PA-216.

Location: SDSU Campus, Various buildings within the College of Sciences: 5500 Campanile Dr. San Diego, CA 92182. Campus Map / Google Map. Campus Parking for the event is free.
