KPBS and SDSU are offering a new, interactive way to watch movies online! Students, faculty, and the community can simultaneously watch a film from anywhere while discussing with fellow viewers in the side chat box.

This month, we are proud to present, “Makers: Women Who Make America,” in honor of Women's History Month. We hope you will join us on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 7 p.m.!

ABOUT THE FILM:
"Makers: Women Who Make America," is a new PBS documentary produced by Kunhardt McGee Productions, Storyville Films and WETA Washington, D.C., in association with Ark Media. The film tells the story of how women have helped shape America over the last 50 years through one of the most sweeping social revolutions in our country’s history, in pursuit of their rights to a full and fair share of political power, economic opportunity and personal autonomy.

As the Movement achieved long-sought goals, a new generation of women were re-evaluating some of its most basic assumptions, especially the balance between work and family. By the 2000s, the movement was again under attack from conservatives seeking to rollback abortion and contraception laws, and by younger women fleeing the very word “feminism.”
