Guests will enjoy a variety of beer samples from acclaimed local breweries as well as hosted appetizers including an array of edible insects.
Museum Curator of Entomology Dr. Michael Wall will offer a presentation on how insects help create the amazing flavors of our everyday foods and a brew master from one of San Diego's acclaimed breweries will share a brief history of beer.
In addition to the tasty "Bugs & Beer" samples, attendees are invited to peruse the "Dr. Entomo" exhibition and explore the truths, myths and mysteries of nature’s most curious insects, arachnids and arthropods – many of which are alive and on display. Those daring enough to enter will be captivated by the deceptive and treacherous techniques these creepy crawlies employ for their own survival.
