Join us on May 2nd from 7-9pm, for the film screening of "Bidder 70" at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Diego

About the Film:
What does it take to halt drilling for oil and gas on pristine publicly owned land? Tim De Christopher, a courageous Salt Lake City UU young man was protesting the auction of leases on public lands, then entered the auction and won the bids for 22 tracts. With no intention of paying (and no intention of drilling!), Tim was sentenced to two years in a federal prison. Bidder 70 is his story and an engaging film. It speaks to Tim and his friend’s unwavering commitment to fighting climate change right now, not when we get around to it.

Donations will be accepted.

Location: First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Diego, 4190 Front St San Diego, CA 92103 Google Map
Parking validated.
