The LARGEST Tall Ship festival on the west coast hosted by the Maritime Museum of San Diego, will transform the North Embarcadero into a nautical theme park. More than 20 tall ships and other fascinating vessels from around the world will be visiting San Diego. This year's Festival of Sail features an expanded events area, more booths to explore, larger kids zone, vintage boat display, stage for live entertainment, and a beer garden.
Friday August 30th thru Monday September 2nd, 2013, Labor Day weekend. Open 9am to 7pm Friday - Sunday & Open 9am to 5pm Monday.
Held over Labor Day weekend each year, it starts with a bang! On Thursday, a day before FOS officially opens, cannon fire will salute the entrance of the tall ships from all over the world as they parade around San Diego Bay finally ending at the Maritime Museum's docks. A limited number of seats are available for the tall ship parade.
Daily: enjoy visiting ships and crew, a petting zoo for kids with a variety of animals to pet, Tall ship cannon battles, Treasure Seeker Pirate themed bay cruises, over 100 arts and craft vendors, plus a multitude of food options, interaction with pirates, and more...
Cost: $5 and up
Please Note: Festival of Sail is a special 4 day event. Returns, coupons, passes, general admission, and seafarer passes are not valid during the 4 days of Festival of Sail. A Daily Festival of Sail 1-Day ticket & MULTI-Day Passe or Maritime Museum of San Diego Membership are required to enter.
