On behalf of KPBS and ITVS, we would like to invite you to the West Coast premier of "The Graduates" and "¡Vamos a Lograrlo!" shorts.

"The Graduates/Los Graduados" is a documentary film from the Emmy Award-winning PBS Series INDEPENDENT LENS.

The struggles and triumphs of Latino and Latina students from across the United States are explored through their own eyes in this documentary about the challenges faced in the American public education system.

Among the stories to be screened are those from Eduardo Corona of City Heights and Yessenia Cardenas of Escondido. These local youth will join our panel discussion, moderated by KPBS' Adrian Florido.

Join us for this special public screening as we explore how our community is addressing the issues facing Latino youth.

Doors open and Reception at 6:30 PM

"The Graduates" airs on KPBS-TV on October 28th and November 4th, 2013 at 10 p.m. as part of the PBS series, INDEPENDENT LENS.
