Wine & Lecture: Lewis & Clark Expert

On Friday, September 27, from 5:30-7pm Dr. David Peck will present an intriguing talk in the Lecture Hall of the Coronado Museum of History & Art on the early days of American westward exploration, and the untold story of medicine and the Lewis and Clark expedition. How did Captains Meriwether Lewis and William Clark and the other members of their team survive 8,000 miles of wilderness, storms, bears, Indians, ice, floods and diseases without a doctor?

Dr. Peck is a retired physician who has spent much time on the Lewis and Clark trail in western Montana. His book, "Or Perish in The Attempt; Wilderness Medicine in the Lewis and Clark Expedition," has gained widespread recognition as a hallmark piece of Lewis and Clark literature. Dr. Peck’s book will be available for sale and signing following the lecture.

This next event in CHA's on-going “Wine & Lecture Series” is free to the public. Wine will be available for a $5 donation. No RSVP required.
