Eighty-eight year old Marjorie Hart is the former chairman of the Fine Arts Department at the University of San Diego, and a professional cellist. At the age of 81, she penned her memoir, Summer at Tiffany, recounting the unforgettable summer of 1945 when she and her best friend left their Kappa house at the University of Iowa to find summer jobs in New York City.
Little did the girls know that their summer would turn into the magical memory of a lifetime, as they were granted jobs as the first women to ever work on the floor of the prestigious Tiffany & Co. Surrounded by diamonds and movie stars by day, they spent their nights and weekends dancing, celebrating VJ Day in Times Square, and falling in love.
Do you remember the best summer of your life? Well, Marjorie does, and you won’t want to miss this special opportunity to reminisce with her.
