The La Jolla Theatre Ensemble presents a staged reading of two seldom-presented plays by two of our country’s pre-eminent playwrights. Arthur Miller’s short radio play “Buffalo Bill Disremembers” (20 minutes) and Eugene O’Neill’s one-act masterpiece “Hughie” (1 hour) both explore our relationship with truth and illusion, facts and fantasy. Both works were written in 1941 and are not only part of our literary and actual history but also as thematically relevant today as ever.
