Are you a scientist looking to improve how you communicate your research?

On Feb. 10, you are invited to attend Share Your Science: a free event to develop skills and strategies for communicating research to the public.

The People’s Science—in partnership with ComSciCon and NPR’s Friends of Joe’s Big Idea—is hosting the interactive workshop and write-a-thon at the Fleet Science Center at 1 p.m.

Attendees will have access to training, on-site coaches, and ongoing resources, as well as food and beverages.

The two-part event is part of a larger West Coast tour that marks the launch of The People’s Science communication platform. This public-facing site hosts brief, scientist-authored summaries of research papers written for the general public.

In addition, registered users can follow researchers’ broader outreach efforts and discussions related to their research. Attendees of the “Share Your Science” event will be invited to post their completed summaries to the site.

This is an introductory level event open to all researchers. Space is limited and registration includes the submission of a draft summary of a research paper which will be workshopped during the event’s write-a-thon.

Register online by Feb. 1. Click HERE to register.
