Bad Hombres And Malas Mujeres: Immigrant Writers Respond To President Trump

What do an Iranian novelist, a Mexican queer poet, a Ugandan editor, a Laotian poet/astrophysicist/B-Boy and a Filipina fictionist have in common? All are accomplished immigrant authors.

Join us for a moderated discussion about the impact of the current regime on immigrant writers' lives as well as their creativity.

Explore how immigrant voices can prevail and advance the cause of cultural curiosity, and affirm the vibrant and radical diversity that historically has defined the nation.

Moderated by Marivi Soliven, award-winning novelist and children’s author. Featuring the writers Zoe Ghahremani, Marco Antonio Huerta, Krysada Binly Panusith Phounsiri, and Hope Wabuke.

Seats are limited. Register for the event today!
