In history, horses helped shape the world. With their aid people traded across the world, wars were won, countries were formed, and fields were tilled. Humans have even created phrases and idioms around horses. Many of the original meanings have been lost, as they are no longer applicable in modern society.

Artist Tia has taken it upon herself to depict these idioms in her first solo exhibition at Thumbprint Gallery: “The Horse-Horse Art of a Different Color,” beginning on October 6th.

Dates: The show will be on view at Thumbprint Gallery from October 6 to November 4.

The opening show for the exhibition “The Horse-Horse Art of a Different Color” will begin on October 6, from 5pm to 10pm.

About the Artist:
As part of a military family, Tia spent most of her childhood traveling around the country. She drew everywhere she went. In 2006 she earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the College of Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. Tia has created advertisements, billboards, websites, and print designs for several large corporations including: MGM Grand, Popeyes Chicken, COX Communications, The Henry Ford, Kid Rock, even the President of the United States.
