The San Diego Historical Society chronicles the shaping of San Diego into one of America’s finest, most sophisticated cities, through fashion. From ornate gowns to modern designer masterpieces, San Diego Style presents historic and couture treasures that shape our city’s fashion story. All of the ensembles included in San Diego Style have been worn by San Diegans, and include works from famous designers such as Badgley Mischka, Chanel, Christian Dior, Geoffrey Beene, Zandra Rhodes, Pauline Trigère, Emilio Pucci, and Valentino. Timothy Long, Curator of Costumes at the Chicago History Museum, organized the exhibition.

Through April 1, 2010.
