UC San Diego Visitors Tours (Sundays)

UC San Diego Tours Highlight Campus History, Art and Architecture. Local residents, San Diego visitors and the general public are invited to discover UC San Diego with a free campus tour provided by the UC San Diego Visitors Tour Program.

Visitors may choose from three types of tours:

-Architectural Tours: Get an inside look at the design and history of the university, from 1960’s modernist pieces to new sustainable buildings. Sights include the founding buildings of Scripps Institution of Oceanography, the Charles David Keeling Apartments (the campus’s first LEED Platinum certified building) and “Fallen Star,” the latest addition to the Stuart Collection. Architectural tours are offered on the fourth Sunday of the month.

-Walking Tours:Take a leisurely stroll through the heart of campus for an up-close look at UC San Diego’s award-winning architecture and one-of-a-kind art pieces, including Geisel Library and the “Sun God.” Walking tours are offered the first Sunday of the month.

-Bus Tours: Enjoy a scenic ride for a general overview of the campus with stops at major UC San Diego landmarks. Sights include the Jacobs School of Engineering, UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center, Birch Aquarium and Geisel Library. Bus tours are offered the second, third and fifth Sundays of the month.
