Chollas Lake Park offers fishing for children under 15, nature walks, fishing clinics and more. Chollas Lake is a great place to get some exercise, there is a loop around the lake that is great for walking or running, as well as a basketball court.
Recreation Center Hours:
Open daily: 6:30 a.m. to a ½ hour before sunset. North Chollas Canyon closes one hour before sunset. *Times are subject to change Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day
Facilities:
A 16-acre lake for free youth fishing (age 15 and under ONLY); an 8/10's-of-a-mile dirt path around the lake for walking, jogging, and bicycling; picnic tables with barbecue grills; children's play equipment; a small basketball court; hiking trails; and a multi-purpose ball field in North Chollas canyon.
Directions:
From Interstate 805 take the 94 Freeway East and exit on Broadway/College Avenue. Turn right on College Avenue and then left on College Grove Drive. The entrance is on the right, just past College Grove Way. The park is accessible by bus via SDMTS routes 5, 856, 916, 936.
