Join La Jolla Playhouse for the DNA New Work Series, a six-week period of workshop productions and readings of new plays and musicals taking place from January 24 through March 3, 2013.
The focus of this exciting series is to give established and emerging artists the opportunity to develop a script by providing rehearsal time, space and resources, culminating in a public reading or workshop production.
The DNA New Work Series includes a staged reading of Chasing the Song, a new musical from the creators of Memphis; a workshop production of The Tall Girls and a workshop production of BrahmanIi, a One-Hijra Stand-Up Comedy Show.
The series will also include six free 1-day readings, including Being Henrietta, Orange Julius and The Consultant, among others.
