Beginning Saturday September 28, 2013 the Old Poway Park Farmers Market will offer extended hours and additional vendors. The market will continue to expand throughout the year. The market will be moving to Midland Road creating a pedestrian friendly shopping and entertainment experience. While shopping from forty-five local farms and fresh prepared food vendors, take time to enjoy everything that the Old Poway area has to offer including small boutique shops, Old Poway Park and the Poway Veterans Park.
The new market hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. every Saturday year round. Motorists will be detoured around the market from 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. with event detour signs. All driveway, parking, and Midland Road business access will remain open during market hours. While there is plenty of parking in the Old Poway Park area, we encourage parking in the old Farmers Market location and in the parking lot to the East of Old Poway Park.
Take time to explore the Old Poway Park area. Enjoy rides aboard the 1907 Baldwin Steam Engine and learn about Poway’s history at the Nelson House and museum, or take a moment to honor our Nations veterans at the Veterans Park. The Hamburger Factory provides the perfect sit-down family experience with a full breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu.
The Farmers Market is certified and inspected by the Agricultural commission, and participates in the WIC program. For information, visit our website at www.poway.org or call (858) 668-4576.
