San Diego artist Dan Peragine, (per-a jean) is currently exhibiting at the Solana Beach City Hall Gallery. 635 hwy 101.
On display are drawings, paintings and sculpture depicting his process and commitment to his modernist approach to art. Stone carving, bronze casting and constructivist styles in oil painting and sculpture lend a surrealistic , explorative inquiry to our perception of the real world. Peragine is a NYC native, working and teaching visual art to special needs students at the Winston School in Del Mar for the last 20 years.
Exhibit runs May 18 through June 30, 2009
