Moving beyond the traditional notions of quilting and into the realm of contemporary fiber artwork, Quilt Visions 2010: No Boundaries will surprise visitors with 39 exceptional art quilts.
Ranging in styles from abstract to representational the quilts on view challenge one's notion of what a quilt can be. Oceanside Museum of Art is thrilled to present its fifth exhibition in conjunction with Quilt San Diego/Quilt Visions. This year a distinguished panel of jurors reviewed 601 entries submitted by 270 artists from 20 states and five foreign countries.
A preview reception will be held on Oct. 23, 2010 and will include complimentary refreshments.
Opening lecture will be at 2 p.m. on Oct. 24, 2010. Refreshments will be available. This exhibit will run until March 13, 2011.
