Quilt Visions welcomes this noted Philadelphia artist to San Diego for a solo exhibition featuring her unique works of layered and painted fabric. Richardson uses layers of sheer fabric to create compositions that are ethereal and expressive. She has been recognized nationally and internationally, including receiving the Quilts Japan Prize for her work Before a Gate featured in the Quilt Visions 2004 exhibition. This is presented as an expression of gratitude for the teaching and guidance that American quilters have given to Japanese quilters.
