ArtHatch and Distinction Gallery present a new show in memory of the American Expressionistic artist, Iris Gill, entitled "Iris Gill's Universe". A portion of the proceeds will benefit Hospice.

The Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 from 6-10pm with complimentary Wine and Stone Brewery Beer for guests 21 of age or older.

Iris Gill, a La Jolla, CA born artist, exhibits an expressionistic approach to art, inspired by her own emotions, explorations and challenges through her life. Her prolific paintings, drawings and sculptures are notable for powerful expressions, understanding and compassion. Her art has been exhibited in North America, Australia and New Zealand. This is a Memorial Exhibition celebrating her art and life.

The exhibition will run from June 5 - June 9, 2012

ArtHatch is a 7000 square foot building which houses the front gallery: exhibitions changing monthly, "The Alley," featuring new and previous works from over 75 artists, the teen room featuring artwork by 6 local teens, 14 artist studios, ranging in size from 150 to 800 square feet, featuring the work of over 28 local artists, and "The Lounge", containing 8 walls featuring local artists. The front gallery features contemporary and cutting edge artwork.

A variety of art books, prints, and collectors dolls are now available as well as an in house art supply store.
