Master Composter Course In The City Of San Diego (Five Week Course)

Become a Master Composter! Minimize your carbon footprint by helping reduce harmful methane gas emissions and yard waste out of the landfill. Use this "waste" to create compost, a nutrient rich amendment for your garden. The five-week Master Composter course provides training in the art and science of composting. Course includes lectures, demonstrations, and a field trip. Master Composter certification requires attendance at four out of five classes, as well as 30 volunteer hours of related community service.

Week 1 | Tuesday, March 21 | 5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Week 2 | Tuesday, March 28 | 5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Week 3 | Tuesday, April 4 | 5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Week 4 | Tuesday, April 11 | 5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Week 5 | Tuesday, April 18 | 5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Course Fee: $25*

City of San Diego residents receive preferential registration. Registration will be open to non-residents one to two weeks before the start of the course.

*If the fee presents a financial hardship, please contact Diane Hazard at diane@solanacenter.org to apply for a scholarship.
