KPBS is home to SIX post-production suites featuring Final Cut Studio 2. Final Cut Studio 2 is Apple's award-winning video and audio production suite. With six powerful applications, each suite is designed with the editor in mind.

Final Cut Pro is built for speed. RT Extreme delivers real-time performance for more than 150 filters and effects as well as for multistream video.

Final Cut Pro 6 extends its capabilities through the other applications in Final Cut Studio 2. Send your project to Color for color grading, complete with sequence metadata from Final Cut Pro. Use the new Conform feature in Soundtrack Pro to automatically update your audio project to match your video edit after you make changes in Final Cut Pro.

Send files to Compressor for batch processing and output to multiple formats, all at pristine quality. Or send your Final Cut Pro project to DVD Studio Pro along with chapter markers from your edit.

Non-Linear Editing 

Non-linear editing allows you to move, lengthen, shorten, insert, delete or modify video scenes, audio clips and titles without having to re-edit your material after the change, as you would have to do in a linear editing suite. This enables change and experimentation that was impossible or too costly in a linear editing suite, to become routine and affordable in our non-linear editing suites. Because of this, the customer doesn’t have to be present in the editing suite during the entire editing process. You can be present during the final editing stages with the assurance that any changes you wish can be made.
