Love & Forgiveness

The Campaign for Love & Forgiveness

This multi-year campaign explores how love and forgiveness can effect positive change in individuals and the global community. Join KPBS with television programming, thoughtful conversations, letter writing, online discussions and other special events and activities to connect and share on these topics. The campaign activities are designed with the hope of inspiring participants to more consciously recognize and use the power of love and forgiveness to address issues in their lives and communities.

The Campaign for Love & Forgiveness began last year with a focus on love, and expands this year to an exploration of forgiveness and its relationship to love.Year two of the campaign will explore the nature of forgiveness - what it is and isn't, how to practice forgiveness, and the role that forgiveness can play in different aspects of our lives. Read the Top 10 Misconceptions about Forgiveness written by Azim Khamisa.

Don't miss The Power of Forgiveness, a film that examines the power of forgiveness in alleviating anger and grief caused by the most dramatic transgressions imaginable and those that are more commonplace. The film will feature families of victims from the tragedy of 911 and forgiveness education in Northern Ireland, where lack of forgiveness has been a way of life for generations. Coming this Fall!

Our community wide activity, which encourages all San Diegans to participate is One Book, One San Diego. The first selected book, Enrique's Journey by Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Sonia Nazario, is the story of the love between a mother and son, and to what lengths they will go because of that love.
