To be or not to be After four hundred years thats still the question and each generation seems to feel a need to formulate its own answer. The latest in this long line of Hamlets comes from independent filmmaker Michael Almereyda and stars Ethan Hawke as the melancholy Dane. This Hamlet (opening 6/9) takes place in contemporary New York and was shot, as Almeyreyda puts it, fast and cheap in 16mm.
